Happy X-Mas

Love each other a little extra over the Holidays. Hold each other tighter, kiss a little longer.
Love yourselves. You're all so awesome.
Happy Holidays and lots of love from me to You.

Oh Mayans...

So the world didn't end huh? Well, we all knew it could end just yet - the third season of Game of Thrones isn't until March and we can't have the world ending before we get to see what happens next now can we? Nope, none of that.

Just comes to show that Comic Sans is never scary. Never.

Bagginses

I think I did alright at work after seeing The Hobbit. Slept for 2 hours and then did 10 hours of work before I could go home and die a little. Oh sweet caffeine, you know how to keep me awake.
But strangely enough I really can’t figure out if I liked the movie or not and that’s usually a bad sign for me. Now, I haven’t read The Hobbit in a few years and don’t remember it very well but I felt the movie was cluttered and sometimes just too much. There’s also some amount of nagging worry about how they’ve managed to make three movies out of a book of 120 pages. And then there’s Dr Wats... no wait, I mean Martin Freeman, and his constant look of equal parts surprise and puzzlement. And WHAT THE HELL WERE THE WARG RIDERS DOING AT WEATHERTOP??! Is it just me or does it bother anyone else that the Wolves of Isengard are roaming through Arnor?
It was beautiful though - stunningly so. 48 frames per second and 3D was awesome.
I have to see it again.

Gonna be tired

I got my complete work schedule for December today and realized that I'll be working the day after the premiere of The Hobbit. That is; movie starts at 00:05AM and it's 2 hours and 50 minutes long. After that I'll have to walk home because the next bus would leave at 05:22AM and I'm not waiting for that. Walking would take me 30-40 minutes so I'll be home just before 04:00AM. My alarm clock will go off at 06:55. If I'm lucky that means 2 hours of sleep before my scheduled 10 hours at work.
Caffeine pills, here we come!
...woohoo...*insert grumpy cat face*

Precioussss...

Did I buy this? Yes. Yes, I did.
I sense a certain Hobbit fever going around right now which I'm not completely comfortable with. I feel my expectations going through the roof and I really don't want all that to fall flat. I'm scared that I won't like it. The Hobbit isn't a particularly long book and to make not one, not two but three movies out of it... I don't know. It's been a very tedious nine years since The Return of the King premiered - the movie I went and watched three times at cinemas despite it being three hours long and an almost constantly empty wallet - and I know that my inner Ringer will explode with pleasure within the first ten minutes. No. Make that five minutes.
