Spoilers about DW

The thirteenth Doctor is a woman! Jodie Whittaker is taking over the mantle from Peter Capaldi and we're finally rid of Moffat!

Sadly, I can't help but feel like it's too little, too late. Nothing bad said about Capaldi (because I haven't seen a single one of his episodes), but the twelfth Doctor should have been female. Or non-binary. Just to really rock the boat and make whiny "Whovian" pissbabies show their true colours before it was cool to be all "representation actually matters and we've known for ages and ages that Time Lords can become any gender when they regenerate".
But I will probably be returning to watching Doctor Who again, and that feels good.

"I've got a new tattoo" etc and so on...

A tattoo of the Doctor's TARDIS on the thigh? How mainsteam can you get, right? Oh well. After five hours it looks gorgeous. Next time we'll get some blue, white and slime green (yes, it's really called "slime green") in there. And it's going to be pretty as all hell when it's done.

On the subject of the 12th Doctor

Of course, he doesn't have a good REAL suggestion for a female Doctor which brings his score down a few notches. But he's still kind of funny.

New Doctor

I'm going to be completely honest with you - I'm happy that Matt Smith is leaving the Doctor Who project after the 50th Anniversary. Personally, I never warmed up to him as the Doctor. Now I'll have to wait for the announcement of the next Doctor like everyone else but I find myself not caring too much. I vote for either Idris Elba or Lucy Liu (even though a British actress might be better). But knowing that Steven Moffat stays on worries me. If they cast a female to be the Doctor this regeneration Moffat might make a mess of everything and leave this regeneration to writhe in fandom hate for one season as proof that you can't have a female Doctor. It hurts me. A Doctor of colour would make me infinitely happy though.

------------------------------
EDIT: And so they cast Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor. Though I think it'll be great but I still want Moffat off Doctor Who. A female Doctor? A Doctor of colour? Better luck next time, mate.

Confession: Doctors

I still cry like a baby when I get reminded of the 10th Doctor's last episodes in Doctor Who. It only takes a picture, a quote and/or a gif set (damn you Tumblr) and suddenly I'm screaming at the computer screen and doing the ugly cry in a corner of the room.
Yeah, he's still my favourite.

New shirt!

Ok, don't judge me for the maniacal stare that's going on in the picture. I was up at 5 this morning for work after about 3,5 hours of sleep. I’m so far beyond tired I can’t actually sleep. Instead I’ll eat biscuits, drink tea and judge people I pass on the internet. In my new awesome shirt. Now, I haven’t read The Hunger Games yet but Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Supernatural, Doctor Who and Sherlock on the other hand are personal favourites. These are also the fandoms I myself have chosen to embrace on Tumblr. Among other things of course.
Nothing better!
Find your own awesome t-shirt on Qwertee! Buy them immediately, each shirt is only up for sale for 48 hours (or until there are none left). After that, they're gone forever!
And yes, I have the wandering soot from Tonari no Totoro (and Spirited Away) dangling from my phone.

Put what you don't like in the cupboard

I got to admit I'm with the Doctor on this one.
Hitler's in there together with my schoolwork and everything else I don't want to know exists.

Never Mind The Buzzcocks - Doctor style

Hosted by David Tennant (10th Doctor) for the Doctor Who Special:

I've got a question for Catherine Tate though; how can someone be on Doctor Who for 17 episodes as a companion to the Doctor and still not know anything about the show? I find that truly odd.

Hosted by John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness):

That John Barrowman really makes me laugh. And look! There's Noel Fielding's hair again as we might remember being one of the main characters from The Mighty Boosh.

Going away

I wish I had the time to get lost in books again. What I have now is one exam on Monday and another a week later. I’m less than thrilled. Ready for a break-down any moment now.
My back is killing me.
And I’m deep in love with the 10th Doctor. Suit and sneakers. Sideburns and reading glasses. He’s my man alright. I’ve got a plan for when the TARDIS comes for me. But only if the 10th Doctor is driving.
Allons-y!

Knock, knock.

"Knock , knock!"
"Who's there?"
"The Doctor."
"Doctor Who?"
"Correct."

It’s official – I’m a Whovian. Doctor Who is the new fandom to add to all the others (it's getting a bit crowded, isn't it?).
It’s the playfulness of the show that I enjoy the most. One never encounters that doomsday sensation like in most scifi shows. And then there’s the Doctor, oh the Doctor! At the moment I'm enjoying David Tennant's tenth doctor. There's something strangely arousing with a handsome man who matches a suit with Converse sneakers.
